Bilfinger Maintenance Concept

We take on the maintenance while you focus on your core business

As a leading industrial service provider, Bilfinger is the maintenance partner of choice for many well-known companies. We have compiled our extensive industry expertise and methodologies into a single multi-stage approach, the Bilfinger Maintenance Concept (BMC).

This holistic concept is divided into 16 modules based on experience from more than 400 maintenance analyses and over 100 ongoing partnership agreements. The concept is tailored precisely to individual customer requirements with two clear goals: (1) increase the reliability of the systems (2) while optimizing maintenance costs.

Over a period of five years, the potential for cost reductions is up to 40 percent, while plant productivity can be increased by up to 10 percent under certain conditions.

The principle of BMC is simple

We see maintenance as an integral part of the value chain and have several thousand engineers, technicians, and skilled workers in this area. For the customer, this means comprehensive know-how with simultaneous flexibility and scalability. When there is less maintenance or repair work, we can deploy our employees on other jobs, making the fixed costs more flexible. At the same time, our solutions help customer maintenance programs become intelligent. We can identify potential disruptions in advance, evaluate them from a risk perspective, and initiate appropriate measures proactively. In addition to saving money, this also saves time. Our BMC modules incorporate state-of-the-art maintenance technology, safety, and quality methodologies.

How to become a BMC partner

A BMC partnership starts with a Bilfinger Maintenance Analysis (BMA). By interviewing employees and senior managers from maintenance, procurement, engineering, and production, this questionnaire-based analysis is essential to identify possibilities for improvements. The BMA results are available to our customers in the form of spider diagrams that highlight potential for improvements and show the progress achievable through the application of the BMC. At the same time, we also undertake a monetary evaluation of the potentials.
