Heavy Equipment

The Heavy Equipment:  Certified Rough Terrain Forklift Operator Program provides a comprehensive overview of safety requirements at work zones with an emphasis on OSHA, MSHA, and NIOSH requirements and personal protection, safe equipment operations and maintenance, and HAZCOM requirements.  Trainees will learn how to inspect equipment for safety issues and safely operate different types of machines.  This program provides experiences for trainees to safely operate a rough terrain forklift and be certified as an NCCER Forklift Operator with industry-recognized portable credentials. 

Trainees receive Safety, Basic Operational Techniques, and Rough Terrain Forklift Training Certificates and NCCER Heavy Equipment Forklift Operator Certification.  Live-streaming will be available during lectures and discussions.   All testing and hands-on sessions are completed at the Canton, OH training facility.
