Assessment

The Bilfinger Skilled Trades Academy is a school that develops the knowledge and skills associated with a skilled labor craft to prepare for the NCCER industry-recognized certification.  Certification is the highest-level credential offered by NCCER and helps trainees maximize their career opportunities and earning potential by demonstrating journey-level minimum competencies.  Each NCCER assessment includes a written and performance verification test that must be passed in order to obtain this credential. Credentials can be verified through the NCCER Registry System using the trainee’s NCCER Wallet card ID number. 

Mobile Crane Operator Assessment

The NCCER Mobile Crane Operator knowledge and performance verifications assess the knowledge and skills that trainees learn in the Bilfinger Skilled Trades Academy Mobile Crane Operator course.  The Mobile Crane Operator Certification Assessment meets or exceeds current ASME B30.5 consensus safety standards and OSHA 29 CFR part 1926 subpart CC.  

The Academy offers the NCCER knowledge and performance verification for the Telescopic Boom Rough Terrain Crane Rotating and Fixed Controls Assessment, and the Industrial and All Purpose Crane V2 NCCER Assessment.  Certified operators are provided an industry recognized NCCER Gold Card credential.   Additional information about different paths to become a mobile crane operator can be found on the Paths to Mobile Crane Operator Certification and additional certification information on NCCER’s Mobile Crane Certification Site

Rigger and Signal Person Assessment

Bilfinger Skilled Trades Academy offers NCCER Signal Person, Basic Rigger,  Intermediate Rigger, and Advanced Rigger Certification knowledge and performance verification Assessments.  Each assessment uses practical examinations that meet or exceed current ASME B30 consensus safety standards and OSHA 29 CFR part 1926 subpart CC.  The Rigger and Signal Person NCCER knowledge and performance verifications assess the knowledge and skills learned in the Bilfinger Skilled Trades Academy rigger and signal person courses.

Heavy Equipment Forklift Operator Assessment

The demand for certified heavy equipment operators provides opportunities for candidates in several fields from construction, forestry, agriculture, land management, and railroads.  The Bilfinger Skilled Trades Academy offers NCCER knowledge and performance verification for Heavy Equipment Operator Forklift Certification.  Trainees are taught the knowledge and skills assessed in the Heavy Equipment:  Certified Rough Terrain Forklift Operator program.  Certified operators will receive an industry recognized NCCER Silver Card credential that can be verified through the NCCER Registry System.

Core Assessment

The Core:  Introductory to Craft Skills Assessment covers all of the competencies and objectives that the Bilfinger Skilled Trades Academy offers in the Core course.  NCCER does not offer a Core performance verification as part of the Core Certification process; only knowledge verification.  The knowledge verification assessment is included in the Fast Track Core courses.
